Mrs. Rhoda Taylor Robberecht, 65, wife of David W. Robberecht and a resident of Cheriton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Oyster, she was the daughter of the late William R. “Bud” Taylor and the late Viola Bell Taylor. Rhoda was a community development assistant for Bayview Citizens for Social Justice Inc.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Chris McPherson, of Cape Charles, Dustin Robberecht and his wife, Jessica, of Nassawadox, Will Robberecht, of Cape Charles, and Kelley Isdell, of Eastville; a sister, Betty T. Collins, and her husband, Tom, of Machipongo; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Kevin, Kayla, Kyla, Schuyler, Myore, Winter, Johannes, C.J., and Cassidy; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William R. “Ray” Taylor Jr. and Daniel T. Taylor.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Cheriton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Randy Timmerman officiating..
