Why Are Touch-and-Go Flights Still Happening?

Sep 26, 2020 | Opinion

Dear Editor:

In the dark of night, the touch-and-go planes are flying over our house. To be exact, it is 8:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, less than two weeks since the crash of a similar plane near Bloxom on its way from Virginia Beach.

This is disturbing to say the least. Obviously, the people of Virginia Beach successfully stopped these touch-and-go shenanigans in their neighborhoods.

Seems to be that the good people of Wallops Island and surrounding areas have become the current suckers, losers, or perhaps just sacrificial lambs. It needs to stop.
