Ms. Chikira A. Fletcher, of Accomac, departed this life Nov. 10, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Norfolk, Chikira was the daughter of Frances White Fletcher and the late John Wayne Wilson. In 2008, she was the shift manager at Burger King. In later years, she worked at Tyson Foods and Waterside Inn. Her last place of employment was McDonald’s on Chincoteague, where she worked until her health began to fail.
Private graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at the Wharton Cemetery, Parksley, with the Rev. Quintavion Washington officiating.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her sons, Nasir Byrd and Ahmad Snead; mother, Frances White Fletcher; stepfather, George T. Mason; sisters, Trikira P. Fletcher and McKeva Fletcher; godmother, Geraldine Johnson; godfather, Brodus Mason; godbrother, Hakeem “TJ” Johnson; special friend, Cordoria Cropper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
