At approximately 1:23 a.m. this morning (April 18), the State Police Communications Center received a call of a vehicle fire with one confirmed fatality on TB Road in Exmore.
The 911 caller, a resident on TB Road, stated that he or she had observed a fire outside on the roadway.
“The Exmore fire department arrived and extinguished the fire and found one deceased male inside the vehicle,” said Sgt. Michelle Anaya of the Virginia State Police in a press release. “The BMW 7 series sedan showed no indication that the vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle crash. The body was burned beyond recognition and the registration indicated that the vehicle was sold the day before.”
The Virginia State Police is reaching out to the community for any witnesses driving in the area of Exmore, on or near TB Road, prior to or after the incident who may have possible information.
