The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Virginia State Police, the Virginia Department of Emergency Search and Rescue, Virginia State Police, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety, searched a wooded area off Redwood Road on March 19.
“After a diligent search, a body was located around 11:28 a.m.,” according to a press release issued by the sheriff’s office.
The scene was processed by the sheriff’s office and the body was transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. No suspects are being sought at this time.
