Ms. Edith M. Shrieves, 95, of Temperanceville, quietly departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Peak Healthcare at Hartley Hall in Pocomoke City, Md.
Born in Mappsville, Edith was the daughter of the late James “Bud” and Minnie K. Shrieves. She was a hard-working woman who worked tirelessly for many years doing various farm work, house work, and worked at Taylor Packing Company as well as Taylor and Fulton until she retired.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Mappsville, with the Rev. Fred Crawley officiating.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Bobby Shrieves, Agatha Patterson, Darlene Dickerson, and Richie Shrieves; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
