Mr. Michael Smith Wireman, 88, a resident of Nassawadox, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at The Citadel at Nassawadox. A native of Cleveland, Va., he was the son of the late Reece E. Wireman and the late Ethel Gladys Smith Wireman. He was a retired professor of anthropology for New England College.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Janet Wireman, of Harborton; four nieces, Natalie Wireman, Claudine Broward, Berit Theissan, and Harriett Dinegar; and four nephews, Michael Wireman, Tor Kragas, Eric Kragas, and Joe Dinegar. He was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Wireman; a brother, Roger Wireman; and two sisters, Sara Kragas and Jean Dinegar.
To honor his wishes, no public services will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New England College Office of Advancement, 98 Bridge St., Henniker, NH 03242.
