Mr. Cleveland David Watson, 90, the oldest son of the late Cleveland Roosevelt and the late Alice Fisher Watson was born in Hallwood May 7, 1931. He passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021.

He was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Lorenzo and Rozelle; and the love of his life for 64 years, Elder Evoria Watson. Deacon Watson was educated and lived on the Eastern Shore all of his life.

Deacon Watson was a member in good standing with St. Joseph Holiness Church, Atlantic, from the leadership  of Bishop Joseph Turner to Bishop Elton Brown  and  finally Pastor Marlene P.  Brown before she died.

“My Daddy” was a great father,   brother, son, uncle, cousin, Pop-Pop,  friend,  good neighbor, and last but certainly not least, he was “Sugg.”

He was loved by all. Many people in the community and especially in Chincoteague just loved Mr. Watson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four children, Elder Kenneth Watson, David Watson (Laverne), Elder Alice Faulk, and Prophetess Faultine Rodgers (Apostle Gary); four brothers,  Adolph, James (Madelyn), Ronald, and Bobby (Darlene); 17 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
