Ms. Dixie L. Handy, 71, of Parksley, departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley.
Born in Mappsville, Dixie was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dixie Handy Mason. She was affectionately known as “Dick,” “Carrie,” and most of all “Dixie Lee,” by her family and friends. In her younger years, she worked in various industries from field work to poultry processing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Tamela P. Wise officiating.
Left to cherish special memories are: her two children, Mary Handy and Clarence Handy; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ineta McLaughlin and Alice Townsend; five brothers, Rudolph Handy, Roger Mason, Willie Mason, Tommy Mason, and Tony Mason; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the Rolling Acres Family, and friends.
