The Ladies Golf Association (LGA) and the Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ESCADV) held an invitational tournament Aug. 27 at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club, raising more than $13,000 for victims of violence.
Peaches Dodge said there were 54 sponsors for the tournament and approximately 35 prizes donated by local artists and merchants.
Winning low gross was the twosome of Sandy Lee and Joy Cinburke, from the Richmond, Va., area with a 75.
Winning low net was Janet Beige and Susan Nixon, pictured above from left, of Newport News Golf Club.
Peggy Tilghman of the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club won a prize for longest drive.
